HOT WEATHER ALERT! Extreme heat can have detrimental effects on specimen collection and processing. High temperatures can accelerate the breakdown of specimens, leading to degradation and potentially rendering them unusable for testing.
Storing specimens in a cool environment is crucial to prevent heat-related damage.

HOT WEATHER ALERT! Keep specimens cool during transport. Heat may damage samples and affect testing.

Comprehensive diagnostics for various kinds of flu and respiratory diseases

We offer a well-rounded approach to respiratory illness diagnosis, and among our reliable measurement equipment, we use the Respiratory Pathogen Panel (RPP), which is used to detect multiple organisms, such as Influenza, Respiratory Syncytial Virus, and other common viruses during the flu season. RPP is conducted through a swab, making the sample collection procedure minimally invasive. The physician can choose to test specific organisms separately or as a full panel.

The complete Respiratory Pathogen Panel includes the following organisms:

  • Adenovirus B/E
  • Adenovirus C
  • Chlamydophila Pneumoniae
  • Influenza A
  • Influenza A Subtype H1
  • Influenza A Subtype H3
  • Influenza A Subtype 2009
  • Influenza B
  • Mycoplasma Pneumonia
  • Resp. Syncytial Virus A
  • Resp. Syncytial Virus B
  • Parainfluenza (PIV) 1
  • Parainfluenza (PIV) 2
  • Parainfluenza (PIV) 3
  • Coronavirus 228E
  • Coronavirus OC43
  • Coronavirus NL63
  • Coronavirus HKU1
  • Rhinovirus/ Enterovirus
  • Human Metapneumovirus
